People play college football in hopes to taking their playing further.  Talented players are usually very considered with what schools that they play for.  As a high school student, college coaches scout these players.  They try to recruit the best players, because football is taken very serious at college level.  Every college wants to ensure that they have a winning line up.  It is important for students who want to further their football career to attend a school that they will get a good education and that is noticed by professional teams.  Many professional teams will come to colleges and check out players who are in their senior, junior years and try to recruit them for the NFL (national football league).  It takes real talent to make it to the big leagues, but many college students are able to make the adjustment a success for them.  Other students that are recruited may not even make through training.

As for college ball, many people and communities take pride in their local college.  They show their support by attending games.  Usually, unless it is a bowl, colleges allow people to come the day of the game and purchase their tickets.  When it comes to purchasing bowl tickets, it is important that they are reserved early in the season so that you are able to get a good seat.  Students take pride in their school and are usually offered game tickets at discount prices because colleges want students to show school pride.
