Football cards, like baseball cards, are a form of tool that players, coaches, and teams try to promote themselves. They can be bought online at the team’s site and traded on Ebay or any other online auctions. A football card provides, with a player’s picture, information on a player’s statistics, game, and some personal information on the back of the card. Collecting and trading football cards are a form of hobby for those football fans; in fact, a valuable hobby.
A club can be formed out of this hobby. Traders come together to make deals for the cards that they need and want. Some cards of the hall of fame of players and coaches are wroth a good bit of money. If you understand the concept of time value of money, you would realize that football cards are a wise form of investment. A card bought today will be worth more than a card bought in future. Take the Babe Ruth card for instance; bought back then it might be wroth just a dime, but today it’s worth so much more. If football cards were collected out of love and passion for the football game, the total worth would be more as they are valued dearly to your heart. These fans take real good care of their collected cards. This way, the cards might become something like a treasure that you may want to pass on to your child. |
