The NFL stands for the National Football League. It is consisted of 32 teams; Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, and St. Louis Rams. The NFL is based on these thirty-two teams battling it out to see who will win the championship. The NFL is separated into two teams. There is the AFC and the NFC. The two teams that play in the super bowl are from the rival sides. In the 2006 Super Bowl, the Steelers played for the AFC and then the Seahawks played for the NFC side. The National Football League starts their season around fall and then the season lasts until about February when the Super Bowl is played. Many people at work bet on the games to make money, but betting is mostly done at good, clean fun. Officially, bets are not legal unless the establishment has a gambling license. However, the betting usually does go on privately. Many people take the time to follow the teams because it gives them a better chance when it comes to betting for the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is a very public hyped and parties are thrown for the day of the Super Bowl. Seasons are much like the TV Survivor. Teams battle it out every week to see who will go to the playoffs and eventually the gold. The ultimate battle comes down to the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is where two teams have one game to determine who will win the league Championship Cup. As many know, in 2006, the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks. Super Bowl day is usually a special day for everyone. For some stores and companies let there workers leave early or close up early so that everyone can get home and watch the game. If your state is playing in the super bowl, then it is most likely that you will see someone selling merchandise or celebrating the game at every corner. |
